I admire tremendously all that FamilySearch has done for genealogy. But they did a tremendous disservice to many older people who cannot afford to upgrade their 7-10 year old PCs when they began to require - without notification - Acrobat Flash v. 10, to view their Pilot site.

I worked in IT system administration for many years, serving a huge LAN/WAN with both standard and internet applications. We ALWAYS gave fair warning whenever we were upgrading a system that would require Operating System, or computer upgrades.

I have seen many complaints from people about this on various boards.
